TROMMEL UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP

"Die Trommel" is one of Berlin's oldest gay bars. It opened in 1973, before you were born. After 37 years of service to the gay community, the original owners have gone into a well deserved retirement. Manni aged 26 has taken it over, so it's taken on a new lease of life while preserving some of gay Berlin's best intimate traditions. It's small, it can be hectic and they have a hits night every end Saturday of the month. Bar Trommel is at Thomasstrasse 53, Berlin-Neukölln.
