SÜDBLOCK OPENS DAILY

After a great start, with packed parties on the nights they are open, lesbian / gay bar Südblock opens every day 10am-7pm from today. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, beer and more are on offer. Südblock is at Admiralstrasse 1-2 (Corner of Skalitzer Strasse), Berlin-Kreuzberg. www.suedblock.org.

FLITTCHENBAR AT SÜDBLOCK

Discodamaged went down to Flittchenbar at Südblock, Kottbusser Tor ten days ago. PINK MIRROR AT SÜDBLOCK

Late news from Südblock: 14 Feb they are showing a gay film from Bollywood film maker Sridhar Rangayan. It's 'Pink Mirror' in Hindi with English subtitles and tells the story of two lady boys and a teenager attempting to seduce a handsome bisexual hunk. Click the headline for more details.

SÜDBLOCK – DD REVIEW

Club / bar Südblock opened in Kreuzberg at Kotbusser Tor in December and has got off to be a roaring success. They have irregular openings at the moment, so if you go their randomly it might be closed or a private party. But they say they will be open daily from March onwards. It's right in the full grimness that is Kotbusser Tor just on Admiralstrasse which leads down to the lovely bridge and more charming parts of the Kiez. It's a bit of a fish bowl with huge glass windows, a bar, a stage, some seats and a small dance floor. It's a party place, they often have bands and it can get very crowded with a small entrance fee.

NEW GAY KREUZBERG BAR: SÜDBLOCK

New gay bar/Café/Imbiss Südblock opens in Kreuzberg next Saturday 4.12. It's right at Kotbusser Tor: Admiralstrasse 1-2 among the dodgy 1960s social housing. A bit like Möbel-Olfe and some of the Möbel-Olfe crew are involved, so it should kick. The opening party starts at 20:00 with  DJs Boris, Miss Sam then China Woman, Joel von the hidden cameras, Prinzessin Hans, varieté flame rose and many more. Click the headline for PR in German.
