'New' parties

Siegessäule tell us of new parties for 2013. B(e)ast comes from London to About Blank on Dec 14 with "Deep-, Disco-, Acid-House and Techno" and they say they will be back once every three months. Line up next Friday: Ewan Pearson, Fraenzen Texas, Simon Rigg and more. That's news to Discodamaged.
Then they tell us of Grmpf* on two Thursdays per month and Club Viktor at Mutschmann's every Thursday. As Discodamaged reported, Grmpf started in November and Club Viktor in April - not so new. And then there are a couple of lesbian parties. Read about them on Siegessäule, if you will.

Shock takeover bid

Discodamaged is not going away! We won't let down our 11 000 visitors per month.
While editor Sirko Salka was on holiday, Siegesäulle (pronounced see-ger-soiler) our favourite gay Berlin listing mag has gone all English. The takeover editorial team say, "Starting with this issue, Siegessäule offers a bilingual event calendar."

Special Media SDL Verlag new owners of mags Siegessäule, L-Mag and Du&Ich celebrate their kick off of and move into spanking new offices at Club Gretchen Friday, 27 July starting 21:00.

Homopatik - DD Review

Our curiosity was aroused by an article in Siegesäulle* "Homopatik im about blank, 21.7". Homopatik begins on a Friday night and the article raves about the party in the garden the following day. So far so good. Discodamaged was there for the special a couple of weeks ago arriving 3pm on a Saturday, there was a great atmosphere, about 500 beautiful queers dancing, drinking and doing other nice things in the garden and the tranquil wild forest. The cold baths for cooling off tired feet in the trees were especially welcome. Click the headline for what really happens.

SIEGESSÄULE FOR SALE

After seventeen successful years, Siegessäule, Berlin's premier German language gay listings and info mag, has been sold by Jackwerth Verlag GmbH & Co. KG to Special Media SDL GmbH. Special Media will take ownership at the beginning of May. The Siegessäule web site and numerous other gay rags and websites are part of the package.

SIEGESSÄULE CORRECTION

We've just been flipping through the July Siegessäule and spotted a couple of mistakes. The say there's a sex dance at Fate club on Friday 2nd on page 34 and they list Ackerkeller on their map. Sadly Ackerkeller is truly closed, read the memorial service here, and there is no sex dance this month. We're sure we make some mistakes too, do tell us wh you see one and always check on discodamaged first!
