Siegessäule tell us of new parties for 2013. B(e)ast comes from London to About Blank on Dec 14 with "Deep-, Disco-, Acid-House and Techno" and they say they will be back once every three months. Line up next Friday: Ewan Pearson, Fraenzen Texas, Simon Rigg and more. That's news to Discodamaged.
Then they tell us of Grmpf* on two Thursdays per month and Club Viktor at Mutschmann's every Thursday. As Discodamaged reported, Grmpf started in November and Club Viktor in April - not so new. And then there are a couple of lesbian parties. Read about them on Siegessäule, if you will.

Vote Fickstutenmarkt

Fickstutenmarkt the movie has been nominated in no less than four categories of the Hustlball porn awards: Best Group Scene, Best Hunk Film, Best Fetish Film, Best DVD-Cover (we guess that's the cover). They urge you to vote for them here and you can see the loud and filthy trailer on xtube here.

Smokers paradise in gay Berlin

Non-smoking lobby groups in Berlin are complaining that they have have no chance on the gay scene. They are demanding that mayor Klaus Wowereit, whose bed caught fire in a smoking related incident in June (read here), does something about it. In the past few weeks four non-smoker activists from Forum-Rauchfrei e.V. visited 19 gay bars and concluded that 90% allowed smoking. This May they reported more than 13 bars to the Tempelhof-Schöneberg Ordnungsamt, the guys who are supposed to enforce the non-smoking regulations, and nothing has changed.

In May 2009 a law was introduced that bars bigger than 75 square meters must have separate rooms for smokers and non smokers. Only a few gay bars bother to enforce the regulations. In Schöneberg Heile Welt, Hafen, Prinzknecht and Mutschmann's do. More in German on queer.de.

Club Viktor Thurs 10.4

Erling Viktor invites us to the opening night of Club Viktor at Mutschmann's next Thursday 10.5 and then it will be every first Thursday of the month. He says, 'Why should you have to go to Friedrichshain for good music?" It starts at 22:00, no dresscode and there's that big darkroom downstairs. Mutschmann's is at Martin-Luther-Str. 19, Schöneberg. OCTOBER PREVIEW

 
With Folsom behind us and the Pope imminent in September, gay Berlin has a lot to look forward to in October. Fickstutenmarkt is on Saturday 1 at Mutschmanns, it's been displaced by Wasteland "Europe's most notorious adult playground" at Kitkat later the same day. Then two weeks later London's Gutterslut comes to Berlin on Saturday 15 at Hubertus Lounge, Chantals 12th birthday (pic) is on Thursday 20 and Hustlaball parties the very next day. Get ready!

Mutschmanns have sent us their Easter schedule: Wednesday 20 April no dresscode and they don't say if they have the usual drinks offer. Thursday rubber, then Leather / Rubber / Uniform. MUTSCHMANN'S TO CLOSE?

Local authorities have started criminal proceedings against Mutschmann's and advised them that they will withdraw their operating licence. During the raids on Schöneberg bars (more here), which were to enforce no smoking laws, police discovered a guest taking drugs in the toilet and they are holding Mutschmann's responsible. A Mutschmann's spokesmen said that, as a result of the problems, they were considering closing and that they have engaged their lawyer. Source Siegessäule.

POLICE RAID GAY BARS

Last week (Wednesday/Thursday) Berlin police raided four gay bars in Berlin-Schöneberg: Mutschmann’s, Woof, Tom's Bar and Scheune. The police say they were called in by the cigarette police and ended their intrusion in darkrooms, torches on, taking names of shifty smokers. Green politician Thomas Birk said that the raids on darkrooms were over the top (unverhältnismäßig). Rumours are running round Schöneberg. Are they just proving they are worth the money we pay? Are the conservative burgers of Schöneberg showing their muscle? Or is dome anti-smoking queen on it's high horse? Read more in German at siegessaeule.

Mutschmann’s - DD Review

Mutschmann’s bills itself as a "Fetish, Cruising, Point" club. It's not intimidating and we don't know what the "Point" bit means. It's certainly cruisy and jeans, T-shirt and trainers are worn. On a Wednesday after 11 it's full of fit men of all ages. They're sociable and the bar is one of the biggest in Schöneberg - if not Berlin. Actually there are two bars. One at the front and another at the back by the entrance to the darkroom downstairs. The darkroom is large. It has a huge bed, four slings in a row and many nooks and crannies. The slings are provided with padded foot rests (!!) and kitchen roll. No condoms / lube were in evidence :-(. Click continue to see what our intrepid reporter said
