I can hear you asking already, "What's a kneipe?". Kneipe is a very useful German word which means your local pub where you go for a drink with a couple of friends or just to see others who like a tipple. And that's more or less what Hardie's Kneipe is, with two exceptions:
1) Most of the clientele are charming middle to older aged Schöneberg queens (among whom I count myself). And one of whom said to me, "It's the only gay bar in Schöneberg with no sexual energy."
2) The rest of the clientele are passing trade, many of them shoppers who have just staggered out of the side entrance Ka De We the 'must visit' department store in Berlin's top shopping street, Kurfürstendamm.
