Fuck parade starts this Saturday 15:00 at Bunker, Albrechtstrasse 24, Berlin-Mitte. Here's what Jack wrote last year "There were about ten small wagons, with no advertising, blinding techno / dance music and frequent political messages.... There weren't a huge number of people, say about 3000. They were all young and up for it and the men were taking their tops off in the heat – glorious unapproachable totty." BADESCHIFF & HOPPETOSSE OPEN

May 1, all the Berlin swimming pools open. That includes the swimming pool in the river, the Badeschiff near Arena club, and the lake at Wannsee with the gay beach at the end (review here). Shame the weather is so shit today. The Hoppetosse, the bar-ship by the Badeschiff open too. Badeschiff opens daily at 8am, entrance 4€.

SECRETS OF BERGHAIN

 
Berghain: It is often voted the best club in the world and I have found none better. The music on the main dance floor can be seriously hard, to the point of driving some of my friends away. WANNSEE

Now that summer has arrived we went down to Wannsee yesterday afternoon. It was as lovely as ever. Go there and waste a day in the sun. Read our review here.

JACK AT LAB

Jack was down at lab.oratory last Sunday for their regular naked afternoon gay sex party on the first Sunday of each month. The weather had at last turned warm, so he anticipated some fucking fun in the sun. And indeed he had it. The guys were fucking busy out there.

There was a comic incident. At one moment Rummelsnuff, the beefy doorman, came out into the garden fully dressed with two other dressed men. One of them was wearing very sexy black overalls and he was quite the object of attention from the naked fuckers. Jack thought that the afternoon had gone over to some uniform event. But no.

The visitors looked carefully at some things on the wall and made notes. It looked like some kind of safety or insurance inspection. The fuck fest continued uninterrupted and the visitors lingered in the garden sipping drinks for fifteen minutes as if nothing out of the ordinary was happening. So Berlin!

lab.oratory spokespeople declined to comment on the reason for the visit.

GAY ISLAND

This could be a nice little gay holiday – or complete hell. It's the third summer camp on 'Gay Island' – that's an island in Mecklenburg lake district, between lakes Neustrelitz and Müritz about 100km North of Berlin (Map). It runs for ten days from Friday 30th July to Monday 9th August. For 'security reasons' they are being a bit secretive about the precise location and say they will send you a map before the event.

TWO GAY BEACHES

The 'original' gay Beach opens tomorrow Monday 17th. So that's two gay beaches every Monday evening in Berlin. Why are they both on Mondays at the same time 19:00? Surely that means that they only get half the crowd and if one opened another day of the week, gay beach lovers could get more beach. If you do want beach on another day of the week Wanssee peach is open for the Summer all day every day.

GAY BEACH IS BACK

It almost seems like summer. It was warm, the sun was shining and I fell asleep on my balcony yesterday after a serious lunch. Mmmmmmmm. And not only is the Berghain garden opening on Saturday 1st May, but Gay at the beach is back directly by Hauptbahnhof. It opens Monday 3rd May with Olivia Jones from 19:00 with the beach, bar and lounge. DJs start at 20:00 in and outdoors. Ends 3am. At Friedrich-List-Ufer 6, Berlin 10557. Here on Facebook. GAY CHRISTMAS MARKET

The pink Christmas crew have been running  an alternative gay Christmas market in Munich since 2005 and now they're coming to Nollendorfplatz, Berlin's gay centre. They're supporting Berliner Aids-Hilfe and there will be Glühwein (hot red wine), food, original goods and a stage with all sorts of shows. This queer Christmas market runs daily from 11-20th December. 3-9pm in the week and noon-10pm on weekends. The official opening ceremony is Friday 11th at 7pm. It's in your gay Berlin calendar.

FILM COMPETITION

The memorial for the Nazi persecuted homosexuals in Tiergarten is nearly two years old. In case you haven't been there, it's a grey monolith with a little window where you can see this short film. They always planned to change the film every two years and now's the time. The memorial people are looking for film makers who can come up with a concept for a new short film: black and white, same sex kissing, two minutes long. Volkspark Friedrichshain

 
Team damaged popped down for the start of the gay lesbian park party in Volkspark Friedrichshain. The weather was great, there were lots of people there, we saw and heard a rock band, listened to speeches by the good mayor of Frierichshain and ate and drank. It was a lovely day out.
