Arduous weekend coming up

Two big events this week - so rest up until Chantals House of Shame 13th birthday on Thursday. Get there early, there will be a horrible queue later. They have DJs divinity, maringo, s-tee, miss danger and a show from a crazy bitch in a cave. Hustlaball starts on Thursday too with a welcome party at the Axel Hotel, Testosteron at Connection and then it goes on until the closing party at GMF on Sunday. Sascha, stories of a Berlin escort

Chantal to be in Valhalla?

Valhalla (or Walhalla as they write it in German) is the hall of the famous dead Germans near Regensburg where Chantal performed for their CSD a couple of weeks ago. (On DD here). In honour of her visit they made a bust of her and it's on her flyers this month and in our Sponsor section in the left sidebar.

We can only presume that they are getting ready to put her head in Walhalla to join Einstein, Adenauer, Brahms and other good famous German speaking people there.

Chantal Documentary at Moviemento

Discodamaged went to the premier of All Night Long Jackie Baier's documentary about Chantal and the House of shame. Baier and Chantal were present though Chantal was late and there were rumours around that she was ill. The film contained tributes by Lola M, Super Zandy, Gloria Viagra,  and many others who all helped and witnessed the transition from street hustler transvestite to iconic mistress of House of Shame. As Zandy said, "She is never ill".
 
At 90 minutes we expected the film to be too long but the performances shown - the pick of the best from more than two years - and the frank but sympathetic accounts of Chantal by her friends gave the cinema a feeling like her club and was hugely enjoyable. With only one short break for a cigarette and more drinks, I was dancing along in my seat to the music.

All Night Long is at Moviemento (http://moviemento.de/) scheduled to run at least until June 20. It's at Kottbusser Damm 22, Kreuzberg. The film is in German with English subtitles.

Special note for queer.de and others. Chantal objects to being called "Schwuler Mann mit Titten" by strangers. Friends of hers, like Discodamaged, may call her a gay man with tits, as she called herself in that interview we did.

All Night Long at Moviemento

'All Night Long' the documentary by Jackie Baier on Chantal of the House of Shame is showing from Thursday 7th June for at least a week. Chantal: Breast Implant Tragedy

Those of you who follow Chantal on Facebook (here) will know that she is diving in the Red Sea and may have seen the alarming photo of a breast implant adrift underwater. Chantal, the gay man with tits explains: The crew of their diving boat were making lunch and decided to follow an old tradition of cutting breast into strips and roasting it. Chantal was dozing and they had one out before she woke. When they discovered it was silicone they threw it overboard in disgust. The ever alert Chantal dived overboard, snapped it and tucked it back in.

RETURN OF NEW FUCK NEW YORK

Almost a year ago we put the Gio Black Peter / Bruce Labruce - Revolving Door (New Fuck New York) video on Discodamaged. It was on Vimeo and we were surprised that it was allowed. It was not. It disappeared about a month later. Somehow it's got back up. Either Gio Black Peter has persuaded Vimeo that it really is art, or he's being a very naughty boy.

Gio Black Peter will be live on stage at Chantal's on 26 April. Discodamaged will be there. And he has a web site at http://gioblackpeter.com/ where he says you can download it.

39 AT HOUSE OF SHAME

Advance warning: It's Chantal's 39th birthday on Thursday 1st March. She'll have no less than four DJs to help her celebrate: divinity, maringo, s-tee and gloria v. It'll be a sell out at House of Shame.

YET MORE BREAST PICS

We noticed that this PIP breast implant scare has given all the newspapers a great excuse to picture even more breasts, so we thought we would too. And we're sure that everybody is relieved to hear that the most famous breast implants on the Berlin gay scene are safe. House of Shame's mistress Chantal had hers made in Japan in 1985 - which makes them one year older than her boyfriend.

With Folsom behind us and the Pope imminent in September, gay Berlin has a lot to look forward to in October. Fickstutenmarkt is on Saturday 1 at Mutschmanns, it's been displaced by Wasteland "Europe's most notorious adult playground" at Kitkat later the same day. Then two weeks later London's Gutterslut comes to Berlin on Saturday 15 at Hubertus Lounge, Chantals 12th birthday (pic) is on Thursday 20 and Hustlaball parties the very next day. Get ready!

THREE DAY RELEASE PARTY

Our favourite queer punk band Nuclear Family start their "FUCK MY HE ART" album release tour tonight at Chantal's. AKZEPT 21 - WAITING FOR CHANTAL

Akzept 21 is a new gay bar at Rodenbergstr 21, Berlin-Prenzlauerberg. They have a 2 for 1 party on Wednesdays, they give away free tickets to SchwuZ on Fridays and Saturdays (unless they run out) and they have a 'Waiting for Chantal' party on Thursdays to warm you up for Chantals house of Shame.

FACELIFT AT HOUSE OF SHAME

About a month ago they opened new toilets in Bassy home of Chantals House of Shame. Or is that Reef of Same? They make it feel like you're in the Hotel Adlon and the lovely toilet boys keep them pretty clean. Recently the smoker lounge has been closed for a refurb and that is reopening this Thursday 22nd. It will be a second dance floor with a huge bar and on the opening night Aviv Without, host of Meschugge and Cityboy, will be providing the entertainment. DJs on the main floor are Divinity & Maringo and the show at 2am is Charlet Crackhouse.
