LAST CHANCE FOR ACKERKELLER

Ackerkeller, who since their closure last June have been having a party at Schokoladen  every first Monday of the month are having the last one tonight. DJs Katzenstein and Magic-Martin will be playing the best of Morrissey and The Smiths to see them on their way. Tonight 23:00 @ Schokoladen - Ackerstrasse 169, Berlin-Mitte.

ACKERKELLER SCHOKOKUSS AND SCHOKOLADEN

Ackerkeller returns every 1st Monday of the month at 10pm in Schokoladen down the road from their old location at Ackerstrasse 169, Berlin-Mitte. They'll have Ackerkeller DJs on rotation. Other Mondays it's Schokokuss the queer punk electro club night with DJs on rotation. Strangely they don't mention either on the Schokoladen website at www.schokoladen-mitte.de.

SIEGESSÄULE CORRECTION

We've just been flipping through the July Siegessäule and spotted a couple of mistakes. The say there's a sex dance at Fate club on Friday 2nd on page 34 and they list Ackerkeller on their map. Sadly Ackerkeller is truly closed, read the memorial service here, and there is no sex dance this month. We're sure we make some mistakes too, do tell us wh you see one and always check on discodamaged first!

ACKERKELLER IN JUNE - REALLY LAST CHANCE

ACKERKELLER CONTINUES IN JUNE

We reported that Ackerkeller were closing mid-June, then that it might be May. Now we know for sure. They're having 7 demolition parties in June culminating with the finale on Friday 25th with Nikolaj Tange Lange leading the destruction live. June dates are in youy gay Berin Calendar. ACKERKELLER IN MAY - LAST CHANCE

This is certainly Ackerkeller's last whole month and your last chance to catch many of their parties. ACKERKELLER TO CLOSE MID-JUNE

It's official. Thorsten from Ackerkeller tells us that this lovely cheap cheerful gay club / bar are closing mid-June because their rent contract runs out. They'll be gypsies in the summer wandering from bar to club to have their parties. They're not sure of the details yet. They certainly haven't lost their sense of humour their last party in June will be a "Baustellenparty". That's a construction party. Bring your hard hats. We now have their April listings (here) and tonight it is Folxmusik a Euro dance fest with DJ Nitronic. Ackerkeller are at Bergstr. 68, Berlin-Mitte.

ACKERKELLER

g31skin was asking about Ackerkeller (here). As well as what he says, until yesterday they hadn't put April dates on their website, so we haven't listed them on DD in April yet. Discodamaged phoned them yesterday and got a rather surly response from an overworked barman.

The man said it's still parties on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. He promised that they would be quicker on their website in May. But then, we had switched from German to English, and he said that 'May was the last month'. Mr AB confirms that in the comment below. We'll probably get the remaining Ackerkeller dates in the calendar tomorrow.

AHA ON THE ROAD

As discodamaged reported in January, AHA closed but was 'looking for a new place'. They've gone nomadic. April 17th they were in Ajpnia and on 9th May they are in Ackerkeller. We’ll keep you posted.

Ackerkeller - DD Review

Ackerkeller is the ground floor and cellar of a house. The ground floor has a bar and a lounge area. The cellar has some nooks and corners, the dance floor and a fairly bare darkroom out the back through the emergency exit. ('Notausgang'). We saw it in use on the naked disco night. They also provided condoms and lube that night. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and like the sound of the night.
