Where to get STD / STI testing?

Hello, I am quite new in Berlin, and I would like to know where to get STD testing in Berlin, in English preferably? I live in Neukölln for now, but I have no troubles travelling a little bit to get service in English.. There is some info on DD where to get tested for HIV, but not for all STDs.. Back home I've got tested once a year even though I have no symptoms, and would love to continue that now that I live in Berlin. Google is not helping that much.. I have been in Berlin over five years now, living near Nollendorfplatz, Schöneberg. I went to Dr Jessen's for my regular STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) checks both with symptoms and without. It's a large surgery with several doctors including the Jessen brothers and even more nurses (mostly young male, good looking and good natured). You can just turn up with your medical insurance card and wait to see a doctor. They have a large gay clientele and are very familiar with STI testing and treatment. The only problem is that you often have to wait an hour to see a doctor, so bring a good book or whatever. Most of the doctors and nurses speak some English. But not all.

I now have a 'family doctor' who does speak good English. Although she's not very familiar with STIs, I now get checks with her which are sufficient, and I can make appointments so I don't have to wait around for ages.

So: My best advice is go to Jessens (http://www.praxis-jessen.de/) or find your own English speaking local family doctor.

You can also get tested for HIV at any Zentrum für sexuelle Gesundheit und Familienplanung for 15 Euros without insurance. There are about 5 in Berlin.

Full STD tests are not a part of the deal, unless you are already infected and you go there for treatment, which is usually free or very affordable.
