Discodamaged went to the premier of All Night Long Jackie Baier's documentary about Chantal and the House of shame. Baier and Chantal were present though Chantal was late and there were rumours around that she was ill. The film contained tributes by Lola M, Super Zandy, Gloria Viagra, and many others who all helped and witnessed the transition from street hustler transvestite to iconic mistress of House of Shame. As Zandy said, "She is never ill".
At 90 minutes we expected the film to be too long but the performances shown - the pick of the best from more than two years - and the frank but sympathetic accounts of Chantal by her friends gave the cinema a feeling like her club and was hugely enjoyable. With only one short break for a cigarette and more drinks, I was dancing along in my seat to the music.

Special note for queer.de and others. Chantal objects to being called "Schwuler Mann mit Titten" by strangers. Friends of hers, like Discodamaged, may call her a gay man with tits, as she called herself in that interview we did.
