Loreley is worth finding but challenging to find – at least if you are geographically impaired like me and I had printed out the accurate discodamaged map. I still had to wander up and down Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse several times until I found it.
The door has a tiny sign on it saying Loreley. How about garish neon, chaps? You go downstairs to the cash desk and coat check and the rest of the club. It was the Cityboy night and the music was sort of retro and rocky but very dance-able, and the dance floor slowly filled from 12.30 to 3. The crowd were young (20s) and fashionably, but not expensively, dressed and they were friendly. There's a medium size dance floor with a bar, a little chill out area branching off it, where they were doing some haircut thing that night and a smoker lounge which was quite deserted. The smokers were puffing away wherever they wanted – as is normal in Berlin clubs. There was also a performers room with a very smart roulette table in it, but punters weren't allowed there.
Bottom line: Good night out, after you find it.
