If you live in the Berlin's 'gay Bermuda triangle' Nollendorfplatz is your local U-Bahn station and you'll know about the BVG closing the U1 between Geisdreiecke and Wittenbergplatz. We can barely escape. Going to Kreuzberg is a misery of waiting and changing trains and the journey to Berghain or lab.oratory is a nightmare.
First they said it would be finished before Christmas, then they said early January and now they just say 'it'll be ready when it's ready'. So much for German efficiency. But, maybe they will finish it soon. They've taken down part of the hoarding which shut off a platform at Gleisderieke and on Monday night we witnessed men working on the line at Nollendorfplatz. We live in hope.
