Update: Propaganda moved back to Goya November 2009
Update: Propaganda moved March 2009 to E4. It's the same formula, different venue.
Propaganda is back and they've opened in the Goya night club in Nollendorfplatz, the heart of gay Berlin. The venue is spectacular. You go up grand stairs to the main dance floor which is big. There's one balcony which goes right round the dance floor and another balcony above that. There are bars on the dance floor on the balconies and in smaller intimate bars off the balconies. On the opening night (13/10/07) it was very busy with an affluent well dressed Berlin gay crowd, mostly men. The place must hold over a 1,000 people and it was pretty full with a queue at the door around 1am. Entry was 12€, which is pricey for Berlin, and a botttle of Becks was 3€. Trannies get in free. It's a place to see and be seen.
Goya has had a sorry history of bankruptcy, fund raising and refurbishing. They have made a good job of the latter. Propanda deserves to be a success, let's hope they can get the money right! [Maybe not]
