It was a great day for gay East Berliners 20 years ago on the 9th November. The DDR (East German government) had allowed the first gay film "Coming Out" to be made. It was premiered at Klub Kino International on that day but was a total flop. Nobody came. Why? Because the Berlin wall was being knocked down that very day. Happily after that terrible start, Coming Out, has now achieved cult status.
Getting on to the more mundane stuff, there's spooky free beer at Connection on Saturday October 31st and the next day on November 1st it's Pork's 1 Year Anniversary Party with Bruce Labruce & Tron Jeremy. Bruce Labruce will also be at SchwuZ on the 20th. Sunday 8th there's a new Russian lesbian night at Sanatorium. Saturday 21st Annie Nightingale (famous old BBC Radio 1 DJ) is headlining at Maria. Cockaigne came back on 10th October and their next party is on 28th November at Tape club. Then there's something dirty and something clean at Stage club. It's gay Bukkake on Friday 20th and a foam party on Friday 27th. Gay Bukkake? "Bukkake is a sexual practice that features a person being ejaculated on by several men." We can't see that really working.
