KEN – DD REVIEW

Team damaged visited Ken again last Saturday. We arrived a late (3am) and Berlin's newest gay club was a bit empty when we arrived. That was the only bad point. The DJs on the night were Maringo, Zoe, Sun-Z and Pascha. We weren't sure who was playing on the main dance floor but it was very danceable Berlin techno / electro and the youngish crowd were jumping. The go go boys were excellent and the lighting system is cutting edge.

There's a second Blu dance floor at the back with a deeper more rnb sound and then they've opened the upstairs where there's a large darkroom / maze, a chill out smoker lounge and the best toilets you've ever seen in a gay Berlin club. There must have been more than ten sparklingly clean urinals and ample cubicles. That was only the mens. There's also a nice table outside where you can pick up condoms, lube and other goodies.

Bottom line
Ken gets ten out of ten for presentation, music, toilets and darkroom. And its the only good gay dance club along with everything else you want near Schöneberg. It puts Connection to shame, it's not cheesy like SchwuZ and it makes a refreshing change to Berghain.
