Golo Mann was born March 27, 1909. So that made it his 100th Birthday last week. But he died 15 years ago anyway so he won’t be celebrating. He came from a famous literary family. His father Thomas Mann wrote Death in Venice which became a cult homoerotic film. He was quite a writer too and was rumoured to be gay. The schwules (gay) museum (www.schwulesmuseum.de), behind SchwuZ, are having an exhibition about him until June 29th. So you could go down. Be warned: notices are usually complicated and in German. So be a good German reader!
